the BIG fear

the BIG fear We have spent so much time discussing relationships. We have dived into the helpful things that allow for our relationship to survive. Sadly we can not always succeed in this. Despite working extremely hard to save a relationship sometimes it does not work. This is probably one of the biggest fears that we face in getting into a relationship. Divorce is something that a lot of people have no desire ever experiencing. In fact I am one of those people. Despite this fear of divorce it should never be the reason that people do not further their relationship. Divorce should not be the reason that you do not get married. Divorce should not be the reason that people do not look for fun. Even if it is something that they have already faced. I assume you have an idea of what our topic is today. It is divorce and why it is something that should not restrain us in life. Divorce is a fairly common thing. Far from as much as people think however. The percent of divorces that actua...

What is Needed?

What is Needed? Today's discussion is on contact! That is physical contact. Now when first thinking about this you are probably like well two people they love each other, they are physically intimate. That is actually not always the case. In fact all people take physical affection different and interpret it in so many ways.  I want to use a little example to help expand your mind before we get into this. I think back to high school and what a first kiss often meant. For the guy it was what was cool. He would go back and tell his buddies and then he was accepted by them. For the girl it often means that there are true feelings there. The boy loves me the girl thinks. We have different perspectives through the same experience. Side note this is not my experience haha.   We have been all about communication throughout this blog. In every way is it helpful. Well we are not stopping with that today. We need to make sure that our physical touch is given and communicated. ...

Families and Finances

The Family and Its Finances We live in a great period of time, its true. We have so many resources available to us. Things that have never been available until now. We however, all know the catch. These wonderful resources will cost you. Money has become what this world truly revolves around. Whenever you need something in life, you must have the money to be able to get that thing. Often our purchases are larger then what we can afford. This has created loans, payment plans, and other methods that allow for things to be paid off over time. This being a huge blessing and giving us the opportunity to purchase things that would take much longer to save up for. This being a blessing can also be a burden.  There are countless times when somebody got in their finances over their heads. This meaning that they financially get in trouble. Very often because of these payment methods not being immediate, people put too much on their plate, this putting them in a position that they canno...

Don't hate arguing

Don't Hate Arguing  Alright so today's topic is one that is interesting. You could probably tell by the tittle. This is actually going to go into a field that I struggle with. The logic is relevant and works I just struggle to apply it sometimes. Or I forget. I am not perfect either.  I want to discuss today deeper in the idea of solving conflict. We are going to dive into ways that we can address the topic of an argument without feeding the fire. We never want to disregard someone's feeling and so we cannot in this moment of disagreement just end the argument. There are however ways to address it and end it where we have both sides of the party feeling happy and right.  This should be the aim for all couples. If you have the desire to make your significant other upset or sad maybe you should hit the road. There are five ways that we can engage peacefully in arguments. We will say do not hate the arguments, embrace them. That is really what we will be discussing completel...

Families Under Stress

Families Under Stress 03/04/2022  Have you ever experienced stress? Well if you have ever lived a day in your life then it is safe to say that you have felt some sort of stress. My next question is did you enjoy how your stress felt? I feel that you probably thought to yourself "well obviously not".  Stress is one of those things in life that we can never escape and that we will never enjoy. At least not anyone that I know will ever enjoy this.  Now as you all know we focus hear on the family unit and how we can strengthen that, so let us get into that. We all know a family that has gone through a divorce. We all know someone who has gone through a relationship separation. This is something that happens a lot in our world, it will always continue to happen. A great cause for these breakups and these separations is the difficulty in handling the stress associated with their lives and relationships.  We however hear do not seek to put forth the negative. Our goa...

The Importance of Sexual Response

The Importance of Sexual Response I just want to first share that my information obtained with-in this blog is a lot of second hand and a lot of opinion. I am not experienced in the depth of a sexual relationship. I personally have never felt the things that will be discussed. These are the experiences of outside sources. As we go through this discussion we must remember, our goal is to great only the greatest of relationships. This blog is simply to help us all develop love in our relationships. Our goal is to prevent contention.  Sexual response is so important when it comes to the relationship of two people who love each other. This is where we lose ourselves in our love for another. Our sexual response outlines the things that allow for us to feel arousal and in means allow for us to reach our climax. This is a very sacred part of relationships. Sadly the world has somewhat strayed from that belief and shows the idea that anyone is free to just get with.  Now how are...

Why? wHy? and whY?

Welcome once again to a blog by someone who is uneducated and has only but opinion on his side.  Today is a special day! Today I have you in mind. I want to focus on things that other people may have not even had cross their mind when coming into a relationship.  We have mentioned the before parts when looking into a relation ship. We also have discussed the position of people who are further down the line in their relationship. Today we will pinpoint a different area. We are going to be discussing specifically the great deal of change that an individual will undergo when being in the first month of a relationship as well as the first year. To narrow it down we will be specifically going into details of relationships that are with those who live together.  First off, you must realize that going into the depths of a relationship, marriage, is a great deal of commitment and it is not an easy process. Marriage is taxing. Marriage is exhausting. Marriage will make you b...

The Before Family Stages

The Before Family Stages Today I want to discuss the important pieces before creating a family. My blog is orientated around families. How to help them, what traits are bad, and other things beneficial. In this blog I will focus on the before aspect. In doing so hopefully we will avoid the future problems that could potentially pop up.  Here are some questions to ponder as we go through this discussion. What is dating? Some people have a somewhat misunderstood idea of this. Next, Why do we date? Finally is going on dates and important part to finding an eternal companion? Our focus is dating if you haven't guessed that already. This is the beginning to finding a companion. Dating is an important term in our society that is not always understood, FULLY. We see many couple couples all around us to claim to be "dating". Are they actually though? Dating specifically is going on dates. Dating someone does not just sit as a title with-in a relationship of two people who just ...

Life has its Tendencies

Life has its Tendencies  What does this tittle mean? What is a tendency? Are they important? Do I have tendencies? These may have been some of the thoughts that flashed through your mind as you read the tittle of this blog. Today I want share some of my thoughts on these things and how they relate to us and our families.  To begin I want to start by answering those questions. Before discussing into what tendencies are I feel it is necessary for us to have a clear understanding of exactly a tendency is.  We are going to use the wonderful gift of our Oxford dictionary to define this one. The dictionary states " an inclination toward a particular characteristic or type of behavior." Tendencies are actions that an individual takes part in as their behavior. So now going back to our questions now that we have and understanding. Life has types of behavior. That is a given! Individuals, groups, families, and all other things have tendencies. What is a tendency? I think we ...

My Culture vs Your Culture

By the title of this blog you can probably assume what our topic of discussion is going to be. We are going to be looking at cultures in the life's of the family and seeking to understand exactly what that is.  Let us start with a definition for a focus point. Found in our wonderful Oxford dictionary we read that culture is  the arts and other manifestations of human intellectual achievement regarded collectively. In simpler terms culture are things like the details in life that repeat. It is behavior that is generated in the normal.  I want to share a few example of what culture is to broaden our mindset and create greater thinking. Ones that we may be able to relate to. The first example that I will use for culture is that of a family celebrating December 25th with presents and coming together as a family. This is Christmas and it is a culture by many. Items and events can also be a part of culture. Another example could be going to church every Sunday ...

Who is entitled to what?

What does entitlement mean? Why would it be important in a relationship?      I want to share some of my thoughts on this issue. My goal is to also answer these questions and to further all of our understanding in this subject. The question has probably arose in many relationships or has not arose but has been thought of. That general question is why is it this is the regular for you but not for me? Specifically is straying from your stereotypical house roles a bad thing?     Examples that we can find in this category may be as follows. A husband who has the desire to be a stay at home dad instead of working all the time. Sort of like switching roles with the usual "stay at home mom". This also could be a reverse with the woman in the relationship. She could question, Why do I have to stay and home and clean all the time? Maybe she wants to be the one working! It is safe to say that we have our places and we have our roles but should we...
Families within the LGBTQ+          Here's the question: Do children who grow up in LGBTQ homes become affected by that negatively in the long run? There is a large debate on whether or not this is the case, meaning if it is true or not. People from both sides of the spectrum feel they are right and they have the right to feel so. The only problem with this scenario is that we can find actual facts, comparison, and study. All three of these playing a major role on to who is correct and who is wrong. However, we are not here to put down, shame, argue, or seek to be correct. We are just here to learn. We are here to take in the information. With information comes the ability to make decision and that is why we are here.            There have been many researchers who have dived into this. Many of which were simply trying to prove they were right in a biased manner. This has sadly cause  much of our data to be flawed, w...
